GatorFord Then that not is normal, I am from Spain and my site here is totally off at least 5 hours, nor me nor my friends can access, everyone living in fair points inside the country.
I am very disagree with the ticket (support@hostgator.com) attention lately, from 2-3 months ago it is slow and bad. The tickes are 2505126 and 2504927 |

The same issue here, already started thread here http://forums.hostgator.com/showthread.php?t=29450
And www.minimalnet.org is also in gator205 IP:74.52.237.194 Now, I hope Hostgator support hear our voices and take look at this issue seriously. I have not idea what exactly is the problem but it seems this is network issue because from some locations the sites are loading. See the differences http://browsershots.org/http://www.minimalnet.org/ vs http://browsershots.org/http://www.hostgator.com/ and http://host-tracker.com/check_res_ajx/844314-0/ vs http://host-tracker.com/check_res_ajx/844272-0/ |

Incidentally I also cannot connect to your site www.minimalnet.org. (I've also logged this problem with ticket ID 2505452) Last edited by damomac; 03-15-2008 at 11:33 AM. |

Hostcator support, are you on vacation? How many clients should to contact you to take an action? At last answer the tickets with simply reply "we are working on this"
While some peoples can load the sites I should ask, are you do some access filtering to your servers? @kmaw , don't swamp the thread with the same answers Last edited by plusw; 03-15-2008 at 11:46 AM. |

http://internetsupervision.com/scrip...ail+Address%3E http://img144.imageshack.us/img144/2...lnetorgkz1.jpg Notice the following parent name server is not providing glue for us : WARNING. The parent servers (I checked with d0.org.afilias-nst.org.) are not providing glue for all your nameservers. This means that they are supplying the NS records (host.example.com), but not supplying the A records (192.0.2.53), which can cause slightly slower connections, and may cause incompatibilities with some non-RFC-compliant programs. This is perfectly acceptable behavior per the RFCs. This will usually occur if your DNS servers are not in the same TLD as your domain (for example, a DNS server of "ns1.example.org" for the domain "example.com"). In this case, you can speed up the connections slightly by having NS records that are in the same TLD as your domain. This is an issue isolated to the parent nameserver in question, not our server. I've reviewed it, and there are no problems with any of the services on it. Please provide some traceroute or other data from where you are connecting from.

Actually I was curious to see if others such as @kmaw could access my domain. I'm trying to access my Australian .com.au domain from London, UK.

Hmm just doesn't look like a DNS problem from here, minimalnet.org resolves fine, there is however nothing answering on port 80 on gator205 where the site is located.
iMac:~ henj$ telnet minimalnet.org 80 Trying 74.52.237.194... telnet: connect to address 74.52.237.194: Connection refused telnet: Unable to connect to remote host The CPanel works iMac:~ henj$ telnet minimalnet.org 2083 Trying 74.52.237.194... Connected to minimalnet.org. Escape character is '^]'. btw I'm in Denmark |

It looks like one of the admins mitigated an attack on the server last night on gator205 and a large number of IP's were blocked due to this. I've removed these and they should be loading from remote locations now.

Remember, a support ticket is the number 1 way to get support, if you don't feel you're getting an acceptable response time, please give us a call. Furthermore, replying to the same ticket before we get to it will push you to the back of the line. Thank you.
