Positive My two year review.

Technically two years and two months.

Here is my last review (ancient)

Anyways, I have now been with this hosting company for the past two years two months and five days. So far I have had only three issues (which is pretty good for 365x2 +35 days) which were solved pretty darn quickly. I have had minimal issues with the service, and I still am hosting the same darn sites, although I have expanded quite a bit. I do have some recommendations however (although the third of them may be unfeasible).

Firstly, I like the inode counter, however I would love for directories listed in it to be clickable to see the inodes in subdirectories, so that I can eliminate as much waste as possible at all times. I am trying to stay under 50k for backups - but it is hard. I'd love to be able to make full backups with more than 50k because I always seem to be right on 47-49,999 when I do make a backup. This is the only reason I hold back from expanding more really - as the other method (everything one by one) can be a chore.

Secondly, categories in the MySQL database listing would be nice. That way I don't have to go through them all to find the database I may wish to edit or change a password on.

Thirdly, I want a panda (not really - I prefer tarantulas).

That's really about it as far as suggestions go, and I am thoroughly satisfied otherwise (well, except the full-backup inode restriction which is a pretty big pain) and I would and have recommended hostgator in the past (dunno if I will see the affiliate stuff any time soon, but I have hopes and dreams!) and will continue to do so for shared hosting.

Now to dabble in some anthropomorphism to the company as if it was a living thing: I didn't exactly cheat on you HostGator, but I did try out ServInt back when I had more income, but I had to let her go because they were really quite expensive for me on their VPS after financing went bottom up - but you've always been there at that flat tri-monthly always affordable rate, and downtime that is seldom if ever. You've always given my sites a place to stay, my work a place to be tested, and never treated me wrong, so honey, keep up the good work.

So, thanks for helping my attempts to rectify worldly issues and spread my messages across the inter-tubes (read: dominate the world); I hope to keep on infiltrating the minds of the masses using this hosting.

Jackuul,

Thanks for your review and for being a customer over the past two years, two months, and five days. We appreciate your business and thank you for your kind words.

I'll note those suggestions and go over them with the people who might be able to make such things happen. I also wish you the best of luck in obtaining a panda/tarantula.
