Hello

this is something that happened before and keep happening so i need to know what i need to do to fix it.

All my sites runs well in other countries but not in argentina. The only one that works is my primary account www.flash2web.net but not any others such as www.flash2web.com.

what is the difference between www.flash2web.net and www.flash2web.com ?
what can i do? should i request my sites being moved to another server?
any dns/isp trick?

please any help will be welcomed.

it is usually not related to your host but your registrar... did you register these two domains at the same place ?!

and some countries are blocking some types of domains, depending on policies...

Sounds like a DNS problem with your ISP

I have tested 27 nameservers around the world with my propriatary application and found out this :

flash2web.net is not fully recognized in : Argentina, Italy and Taïwan.

flash2web.com is not fully recognized in : Argentina

I hope this will help you pinpoint your problem...

P.S. Did you waited at least 72 hours for the full propagation to be done?

thanks for the prompt and fast replies!
the sites are registered and working since years and the only registrar for domains in argentina is www.nic.ar and all international ones are registered using www.godaddy.com ...
i asked to hostgator to have my own ns stuffs ns1.flash2we... and such and most of the time all works fine but some days my local customers call me that the sites aren't working and only email does.
what can i do?
my sites are down since this morning (my time and i checked around a downtime of more than 6 hours!)

if it is sporadic like you state, you can't do a thing.. this will be related to Argentina's IIRC's connections, not related to hosting or registrars...

remember that Argentina and other countries in your local are in political instability, and some people are liking to play the communication war.. they stuck servers with DDOS and DOS attacks... this is war then.

I just have tested numerous domains with .ca ,com ,org and .net in Argentina and the nameservers returned the proper information.

The problem seem related exclusively to both your domains...

flash2web.com reports this problem with dnsstuff:
Quote:
FAIL Low port test Error: Our local DNS server was unable to get your MX record. This usually means that a firewall in front of your DNS server is interfering. For example, it may be blocking DNS packets from low source port numbers (ours is often in the 1024-1030 range). Firewalls should never block DNS queries based on the source IP address; otherwise, it is guaranteed that legitimate queries will be blocked. This specific lookup must be cached, so a recent change may not be reflected.
.net reports:
Quote:
FAIL No NS A records at nameservers WARNING: Your nameservers do not include any corresponding A records when asked for your NS records. They probably are not returning the A records when asked, which can prevent some other DNS servers from contacting your DNS servers. They should do this if they are authoritative for those A records (in BIND, you should not use 'minimal-responses yes;'). The problem record(s) are:

Nameserver 70.87.144.66 did not provide any IPs
Nameserver 70.87.144.67 did not provide any IPs

should i contact godaddy with this?
also what about the local urls?
like www.rodeg.com.ar, www.sandraypepe.com.ar or www.ibucasagu.com.ar ?

If the nameservers are pointed at HG nameservers you need to submit a support ticket to HG as the configuration is there. It looks like a problem with your dns for cirrus

Give them a link or let them know you are having dns issues with your sites, and list the sites you have trouble with. They should have no problem taking it from there. Seems a small amount of information is usually best to keep things from being confused.

You need to ask support to set up A records for the ns1.flash2web.net and ns2.flash2web.net entries so that you can use those addresses as nameservers or at least to check and see if there is a problem with the DNS Zone.

They are missing for the other domains he listed also. Actually the zone templates are probably wrong too

Yes, but if the ns1 and ns2 A records are missing in the flash2web.net zone then that would cause problems with any domains that use those as nameservers. The dnsstuff check is saying that there are no A records for the nameservers so I would start by checking that zone and/or recreating it.

You really should provide this list to the help desk. This is a peer support forum and we don't have access to see the zone files to check for errors. The techs in support should be able to clear up any problems much quicker and can more easily determine where the problem lies.

now the support people reply me and told me...
Quote:

I added the A records for your private nameservers.
Regarding the issue from Argentina, can you please send us a traceroute test?
i replied with tracert www.flash2web.net, tracert www.flash2web.com and tracert www.rodeg.com.ar (hope that is what they whant!)
i also tested the things at:
http://www.intodns.com/flash2web.net
http://www.intodns.com/flash2web.com
and
http://www.intodns.com/rodeg.com.ar

and seems like some stuffs are not working very well but most of them i don't know how to fix or ask to fix them.
can anybody tell me if this tool is a good one and if there is something else that can i do?

thanks in advance!

It could take some time for the changes to the DNS Zone to propagate so that all the domains work correctly. You would also need to make sure that the nameservers are listed as hosts with the registrar of the flash2web.net domain. I'm guessing that they are since the sites worked from some locations.

The previous message from support stated that they had added the A records for the private nameservers (which sounds like they were not there before.) Not having the A records would cause the types of errors you described so I would expect that now that the A records are there everything should work fine.
