Help!
I have a site and it is soley about gaming. It is called GamerzXxXOnline.net and i think most of this comes from the domain name (which i don't know how to change!) Also i have had a few spammers who have posted inappropriate images on my site and i have taken the appropriate measures to stop bot registering. I know my site is listed as porn because if where i am put in promotion sites and because at my high school it is blocked under porn catigory. I would be very pleased if someone can help me and even if it means getting a new domain name! Please let me know ASAP. Thanks, -brian DOMAIN: http://GamerzXxXOnline.net ![]() ![]() |

I cant say for sure but i think a lot of it has to do with your domain name as the XXX would suggest adult content.
You cannot change or edit your current domain name, you would have to buy another domain and name it more appropriately to avoid the problem. The same goes for access it from school. Their firewalls or internet blocking software would block anyone accessing anything with XXX in the domain name.

I think parental control softwares or proxy doing filtering would not check the content before they'll allow an exceptional site like your.
I would suggest you to buy a new domain and get the domain name swapped by hostgator(there's a small fee for this i think) , once this is done, you can park the old domain name or use it as add on domain and inform your current visitors about the new destination. |

id get the new domain name and promote your site using that... just point your "XXX" site to forward to the new one so current members can still find you in the transition...two months later unforward and park your XXX domain.... Serra's excellent advice above will keep the same thing from happening on your site even with the new domain.

The XXX has got to be flagging it as adult content. I'm sure someone in LiveChat here could walk you thru your options for changing the name over thru HostGator.
Have you had any issues getting listed in various directories with the name as well? |

https://secure.hostgator.com/changedomain.php to request a domain change on your account. You will need to order a new domain before you fill out that form though.
