I gave them his ip, when the hacker logged on and even the hacker's friendster profile. The hacker set up SSH sessions..I would have thought that hostgator would have been a little more concerned.

Needless to say I am switching hosts. Richard F. is arrogant and it is my hopes that HostGator does not employ an entire staff of individuals with this guys attitude.

It is true the fbi / police don't care and our hands are tied from doing anything or even reporting it to anyone that would care, but that was no reason for a rude response to you. I'm very sorry

Shane, I'm sorry to hear that you were treated rudely by Richard F. I also have been on the receiving end of a rude email by him. Instead of posting it here, I tried to work it out through emails but never received anything near an apology. Maybe if it happens again, I should follow your lead and post the email here, instead of keeping it private.
