My friend wants to know a few things about Unmanaged server

1. Can he install anything (as long as it's legal)? IRC & IRC services?
(for number 1, I told him he may have to ask in Live Chat or in email)
2. What are the stats of the server?

1.) Yes, as long as it is legal, it is your server to do with as you wish.

2.) As of now, they are Pentium 4 (2.0GHZ) with 1 GB RAM and 80 GB HDD.

My friend came up with another question, if we use 1,500 GB, is it possible to update the bandwidth limit w/o moving to a new server? Like purchasing more bandwidth basically. (I told him I doubt that he will use 1,500 gb but he wanted to ask anyways)

There was a post somewhere recently on backup drives but I can't find it. I believe the price for an 80 gig drive was $200 one time or $30 a month. I can't find the order page for the add-on and will probably contact Live Support later for that as I need to get an extra drive this week.

That's just the DediKiddy(TM)...HG has several sizes of unmanaged servers.

All new HG servers (and many older ones) are running CentOS 4 as far as I know.

And ticket support about your other unmanaged options.
