My first two months in Host Gator have been OK, but today I've had my first bad experience: I have a reseller account which hosts 20 sites, and they have all been down for about one hour.
Their explanation on what happened: Hi, It appears that someone had restarted the named daemon, which caused all of the DNS zones to be reloaded again. This is what caused your downtime. Thank you. If there is anything else we can assist you with please do not hesitate to ask. Regards, Matt Johnson HostGator Technical Support / Abuse Administrator 1- So "someone had restarted the named daemon", great! No problem, they definitely convinced me! 2- Why are they thanking me? Shouldn't they apologize instead? |
