I've been with hostgator for almost 2 years now.
although there have been some bumps an bruises along the way, i have to admit I've always been treated fairly, and even though it may have taken some calls and B*tching emails, they still ended up doing the right thing in a timely manner. I have a reseller account, but i am actually a developer, i use hostgator as a place to develop sites since they have all the tools/services i need, i do not re-sell as most resellers do, except that i give free hosting to companies that i do work for (that is a big draw actually for me), many times, that the difference of me getting or not getting a contract. I guess the reason i'm writing this, is im dealing with a customer now who is using a different web host. i wont say the name, but it begins with WWW.APLUS and ends with .NET These people are absolutely HORRIBLE, and my customer is paying them $150/month! I just spent the whole day debugging THEIR problem, and they STILL wont fix it! hopefully, ill have my client get on hostgator tommorow. Remember, everyone has some downtime and/or problems, i dont care how much you pay for service. But at least you can count on hostgator communicating with you, no matter how bad or whose fault it is. They are on your side. |
