Having researched many reselling options out there I came across Hostgator through Google. I am really impressed with the support Hostgator gives its customers.
Response to any of my questions has been prompt and has always resulted in correct answers. On my experience you would be crazy to even consider another hosting account. I am sure Hostgator has some unhappy customers but I would ask those viewing these forums to think about this, what business out there has complete 100% content and happy customers? Thanks to the people at Hostgator for your first class service and I look forward to doing more business with you over the coming months. |

Surprisingly some of the happiest customers are the ones who have the most negative things to say. Those are the ones who are with you years, than one day their site is shut down for something silly like running out of bandwidth or not paying bill. They rush to post a thread how bad we are, etc. You explain to them bill needs to paid or site is shut down, that you sent 30 emails, called, and there was nothing else that could be done. We get about 10 of these people a month. We are one of the few companies that don't delete negative reviews. This does a lot of damage considering most bad reviews our user error. We should be seeing a new one up any minute…. The customer is cursing us out because he filled out the cancellation form for his account. He filled it out with the wrong domain and username, and we our to blame for terminating the account he requested. We explained this to him, but it’s still somehow our fault. Thanks for understanding how things are!! If there’s anything you ever need just let us know.

I agree that you can hardly blame your hosting company if you don't pay your bill or supply incorrect information!
Be fair with your reviews. At least accept some responsibility for your actions. I mean if you ordered cable and you gave them the wrong address, you waited all day and found out they went to the wrong address. Who is to blame? The cable company because they went out to the wrong address? The electricity company shutting you off because you forgot to mail the check? Hostgator is one of the few who do monitor and use the forums to answer questions. Some hosting companies out there have even REMOVED the forums nevermind remove posts!! Read up on Hostgator and you will find far more positive feedback than negative. And if you find an offer than is too good to be true then it really IS too good to be true! I am happy to say it is a pleasure doing business with Hostgator. |
