My 2Cents on the Gator

Hello,

I have to say this was the first host I used and have not even thought about leaving. I have a few other hosting accounts at other host and they can't even come close to the quality of the hosting and uptime. I searched and researched for a few days before I went with them and have not found any better.

The other accounts where extremely cheap and have come in handy at times but have always failed me in the end.
Here is my top ten reasons to choose hostgator:

1. Where else are you going to see the owner of a company this large active on their forums almost daily and willing to also get down and work with the rest of the employees when it comes to getting things up and running right.

2. I haven't seen any other host that leaves the negative reviews up for potential customers to read. They may respond but unless the review is completely unfounded then they don't remove it. They put customer satisfaction first not $$.

3. Support has its faults but they are always ready to try to help. You can't always tell what the people you hire are going to do but they aren't afraid to do what needs to be done when that situation arises. Also if you just browse the forums you find out where to turn if the main support can't seem to help the forums are continously monitered by staff and GatorBrent the owner and they resolve the problems faster than anyone else and will help any way they can.

4. Reliablity is better than any that I have seen or heard of. I have only seen complaints here on their forums no where else even during my researching host when I was choosing where to go.

5. HostGator will even do their best to install special modules if possible. Most of the time for free and this is even on the shared servers.

6. You can actually call them 24/7 and you won't get a answering service but real employee's of HostGator. I haven't had to use it yet but I have even read more than one thread where GatorBrent has offered to personally call customers to help handle the problem they are having.

7. You may have to pay a little more than other host but the difference is not enough to compare with the value of the customer focus of HostGator or worth giving it up.

8. The support forum community is among the best(the best when it comes to hosting) with not only staff but customers willing to help you with your problem and many of them are professionals that use HostGator them selves. They are willing to help with not just hosting but coding, design, and much much more.

9. One of few host that I don't see bragging all about them selves they state the facts and Let you choose. They prefer for their services to do most of the talking for them.

10. The Name and Slogan are the most intuitive and original I think I have seen.(IMHO)

The only con I have come up with is that they don't have any jobs that you can apply for that will allow you to work online for them and I live In Amarillo, TX not Houston, TX or Florida.

Well that is my 2Cents. I don't see any moving for me unless it is because for some reason I can't come up with my Bill Money. I hope that Never happens.
