All of my clients that are on MUSTANG are periodically experiencing mysql connect errors. While it is NOT happening right now, it has been happening today and for the past few weeks across all clients. I have written about this to support and they have restarted mysql or the server, but I need this fixed, not just brought back online. Why is this happening, and so frequently?

How frequently is frequently? Please provide ticket numbers on the outages

Hey Brent,
Lyron picked up the ticket. Frequently is, on average, 1 to 2 times a day for 1 to 5 minutes. While most resellers or even clients would not even notice it, or simply disregard it, I have clients that use their website all day, everyday so it provides me with nice real life stats. If you search the forums, this topic is not new. I can find the same complaints in General Support and here in Network Status, even referencing the same reseller server and another. Prior ticket started about load on Mustang.... [HGSupport #ABG-42105-470] and then MySQL died. Here is final statement from HG.... ----------------------------------------------------------- Hello, Mysql service was dead and we have restarted the server back and now it seemd working fine. Please check same. If you have any more problems or questions please let us know. Thank you. Warm Regards, Martin, ----------------------------------------------------------- Since that, I have seen MySQL giving max connection errors and even straight forward DB connect failures. As I have told Lyron, I was not working on any sites anytime that this has happened, and it affected all clients that use MySQL on Mustang. I have yet to hear back from Lyron, but I also have not heard or seen the problem today...so maybe that is a good thing or just a coincidence? Thanks! |

There have been threads about this before with several people on the mustang server, including me, complaining.

Asking questions is always the right attitude. If it happened once a year not a problem once a day would be.

please call us second this problem goes on. If it happens once a day for a few seconds can be a big tricky to catch.

I agree it can be a bit tricky, that is why I have asked support to review the logs on the server. There are logs for services, correct?
I gave an exact time to support already so that time could be cross referenced with other events on the server. Is there something else I should be doing? |

Logs are not always that helpful. If this happens again in the near future please respond to this and we will do what we can. Right now I'm not able to find any causes for it so I think we might have already solved it.
