Default Multiple Questions

Honestly i have searched the internet and I'm down to two choices after having about 5-10. Host Gator has made the final cut. So i have lots of questions well it might seem that way

Hello,

Chat is not opened so i will post there.

Im currently at powweb.com until 9/10. If i were to transfer my account to here how long before that date should i start?

I have five domains
studio60fansite
buffalosabres.info
sabreschat.com
webtoolsexpress.net
brianwisniewski.com

The package i look at says unlimited domains: any setup fees. Are they parked domains or actually websites?

Do you have a stats program where i can break down hits ect for each domain?

Info below is clarification purposes yes or no(with why if its a no just might not understand)

If i had a flash chatroom could i run a bot?

If i wanted to do shout radio could i do that?

I will probably have more questions after these but i thank you guys ahead of time

Also if regular users are reading please tell me about your experience good/bad. Like to know opinions Anyone who had Powweb and came here would also be useful so they can do a comparison

I thank you in advance

Hi Brianwiz.

your first two questions ...you can have unlimited domains and subdomains for any amount off "actuall web"sites..providing you are within the allocated space...i myself am on the baby croc deal with 5 gigspace.

There are three stats programs in the backoffice(c/panel)for daily visiotrs and all other fine details.
1.Latest Visitors
2.Webalizer
3.Awstats ..with awstats being the most detailed.

Also there were no set up fees when i entered for my deal..i just pay the monthly hosting fee on baby croc deal.

As for good and bad..as a total newbie with all my maddening questions and queries they have been great"personally and on this forum"...i have had no problems in logging in or downtime as yet.

The last two questions more experienced members can answer.
regards.

I would do this 2 or 3 days before. This way you have time to move your files over to your new host before your account at powweb.com is closed.

This is my feelings about hostgator.com

I just want to add to this about the reviews, I have had hosting for my domain for 8 years, and I have been through tons of hosting companies, and I can tell you that this place is by far the best hosting company I have ever encountered. The support alone is worth every penny you will spend. Oh, and out of the 8 years, I have been with hostgator for 2 and half of them. I will NEVER go to another hosting company. So Hostgator, don't EVER close!!!! LOL

Hostgator do not like IRC thing on their server. you can check in their TOS at http://hostgator.com/tos.shtml :

Examples of unacceptable material include:
IRC Bots, Proxy Scripts / Anonymizers, Pirated Software / Warez, ".img" / image hosting only sites that do not host an actual domain name, Escrow, High-Yield Interest Programs(HYIP), Bank Debentures, Bank Debenture Trading Programs, and Prime Banks Programs, lottery sites, muds / rpg's, hate sites, hacker focused sites/archives/programs, sites promoting illegal activities

You can have a shoutcast radio from your home connection but you can't put shoutcast on your shared acccount here at hostgator. First is because you don't have root access to start the shoutcast server and second it is taking a lot of bandwidth if you don't set it up poperly and because it is not on regular port, you can't see how much data transfer you are taking in a month.

For my experience here at hostgator it has been wonderful since the start in 2004 and would not change host for nothing in the world. I have started as a reseller and I am now on dedicated server from hostgator. Support is great with me and are friendly.

Best Regards,
