Hello,
I can't seem to figure out how to access multiple email accounts on one webmail page. There should be a way to make seperate folders for each account, and to easily switch between them without logging out and logging back in. I am a reseller and would like my client to be able to access all four of his ecommerce sites emails(info@, support@, sales@, personal@) at one webmail page. The documentation for the webmail applications offered through cpanel (horde, NeoMail, and Squirrelmail) says this is possible as long as the user has the right permissions. How do I set those permissions? Shouldn't the main account be able to do this? Mine does not. Please help, Marshn |

Thats exactly what I want to happen. However this is not happening for any of my virtual hosts or myself. You have to backtrack all the way to the cpanel and then choose READ WEBMAIL under add/remove accounts. Its really annoying. How can I fix this so the main account can quickly choose to view different folders for different emails without leaving the Horde app.

I've been able to check this now and this procedure works fine for me. Are you sure you log in with the main account (userid@domain.com) first? I suggest you open a support ticket at support@hostgator.com and tell them you followed the above procedure but you still can't see the other mailboxes. Good luck, Stef. |

The main account does not seem to be an email addr3ss. Just a user name. How do I create an email address for the main account?

In the add/remove accounts section you can see the main account listed on top. It is indeed just a username. In fact, it is the name you use to login in your cPanel.
Try this: go to http://yourdomain:2095/horde/index.php (replace yourdomain with your actual domainname). You will see a login screen. Login with your cPanel username/passwd. Then you will see the Horde login screen, with the same username and passwd already filled in. Just click login and go to the Inbox. Then you should be able to select the other accounts from the top right dropdown menu. Let me know if this works. Stef. |

Oh Well. Still no luck. I have a feeling somthing is not set up right on my server or I set up the accounts wrong somehow. However its good to hear that this is possible! Thank you so much for your help. If you have any more ideas let me know. I have sent an email to tech support referencing this thread.

Are you able to login with just your username (the one listed as the Main Account) and password? This should be possible at first.

Oh Yes. I can log in as the main account however no email ever shows up in my inBox and I get no access to the other emails I have set up under this domain. However, If I log in under each individual email account I recieve mail just fine. Outlook is working great as well. Of course I have deleted my Outlook accounts while testing the webmail.

Well, if you can login with the main account you should indeed be able to see the inboxes of the other accounts.
Maybe there's a problem with mailbox permissions. Let's wait for the results of your support request. Please give us an update after that. Bye, Stef. |

Hello,
Are you sure that you can log in as a main account and see a list of folders for your domains other email accounts? I have been told by Josh on the hostgator support team that this is not possible. If it is not possible then why is there a direct link from the cpanel to the main users webmail. The main user doesn't even recieve mail! Somethings fishy here. I'm sure this is possible, and think you are right about the permissions. However I am a reseller and I don't think I have access to that part of my server to fix it. Hi all
I tried out horde today because I have enabled the spam assassin box and I was able to see all of the folders on the account while logged in under the master name. Initially the screen looks like it only shows one inbox, click on the email icon then you have to click on the folders icon and then select 'Expand All' This reveals all of the accounts for that domain. Hope this helps

thanks for the advice. I tried it out and it still didn't work. There must be something I am missing. Expand all just gave me INBOX, INBOX.drafts, INBOX.sent, and INBOX.trash Still no luck, but thank you Mike |

Ok, I have confirmed this to work on several other servers, but I dont have any logon credentials for Chrysler (the one you are on)

After logging in to your account, it has been confirmed that there is a configuration problem with webmail on Chrysler. We will work to get this corrected as quickly as possible.

No it has not. I've been trying to get a hold of gatorlyron but he/she does not want to answer my IMs. Please try and get a hold of him for me and let me know whats going on. It would be nice to have this resolved this week.
