Guys, I just wanted to let you know that this was an error from HG--a wrapper error. They fixed it really quickly for me so now the issue of the URL is resolved. Thanks for helping out on this one.

Glad you got it straight in the end. Hopefully they will all work correctly if you need to add others

OK, I still have two sites to go, but I have three up and running: http://www.wellwrittenwords.com, http://www.marketmou.com and http://www.blog.marketmou.com . There are a few small issues, but on the whole we're getting there. Support is great here, and you guys are very helpful. This kind of community was completely missing at my last host.

Just to clarify for future searchers. For addons:

1. set the nameservers at the addon domain's registrar to the two provided in HG's welcome email.

2. in cPanel, create an addon domain. Do not make the folder yourself.

3. Upload pages to the new addon's new folder, which cPanel will have created.

blush. Not really, just a little obsessive--when a thread covers something common but goes back and forth, it may be difficult for users to grasp the proper conclusion.

Hello, I'm a new customer and generally new to web hosting. I did exactly what mentioned above. But...I have a problem:

I own 2 domain names. I have used the one of them to buy the hosting package. I made the addon domain (the second one) but in the browser's address it changes. Well...let's be more specific.

The main domain is www.vagiotis.gr. It works perfectly.
The second domain (addon domain) is www.unicorn-project.gr. When I put this address in the browser it goes to www.vagiotis.gr/unicorn-project. Why does it happen? I want to be www.unicorn-project.gr. What do I have to do?

Seems to be occurring frequently lately and you will need to contact support to fix it.

Hi all.
I am trying to setup an addon domain also. I've followed what has been said in this thread, and have done what has been discussed.
However no matter how I try to access the second domain, either via the 2nd domain name or via the direct route through my original domain (e.g. www.2ndDomain.com and www.1stDomain.com/2ndDomain).

Does anyone have any ideas what mind be up?

My domains are as follows if you wish to test them out:
1st domain: http://www.backlinksforyou.com
2nd domain: http://www.mmapr.com

Thanks for any help!

Ok have you set the correct permissions to the directory file? For 2nd Domain?
Are you sure you have the NameServers correctly set?
If your running WindowsOS open CMD (Run>"CMD") type in "ipconfig /flushdns" then try again make sure your ISP and the route the connection takes has cleared there DNS.
