I have learned so much by working with my VPS that I feel like I don't really need Cpanel anymore since I do most things via ssh. Would it be a big pain to uninstall it?
I know I could just wipe my whole VPS and rebuild everything without it but I cant have that much downtime. I guess my other option is to get a new VPS, get it set up how I want then transfer my sites from the old one but I want to keep all my dedicated IP addresses in tact.

cPanel has no uninstall feature, and it heavily modifies the system's perl.
With that said, I've never seen a successful uninstall of cPanel - its just not the nature of the software to be added and removed on demand. |

Can't you have your IP Addresses transferred over when everything is done? I am wondering as well, because in the future, if I ever move or upgrade to a dedicated server, will I need new IP Addresses, or can I keep the ones I have?
