Default Moving Mail

I'm trying to move from my account with Dreamhot to a reseller account here and am having trouble maving my email over because dreamhost does not use cpanel. i was hoping that this would be an easy process that my customers wouldn't notice. Has anyone had any experience moving email from dreamhost or a non-cpanel host to here? Is the software? Can I pay someone? Not very surprisingly Dreamhost hasn't answered my support request.

Not really possible and too expensive if it were. Best to just tell customers you are moving and manually move the accounts. In the future, stick with cPanel hosts so moving is easy!

Hey, I just got an account here at HG and so far it's been fun.

My only mistake is that I pointed my domains too early and Yahoo has picked it up already, whereas I have not. I was unable to retrieve my old email from my account by checking via Yahoo. Is there a way to do it?

More specifically, is there a way to copy my old emails to my new account?

The best way to find out is to send an email to support@hostgator.com and ask

That you can do if you have IMAP on your old account. You could IMAP them down to Outlook and then IMAP them up to HG.
