For a definitive answer you should contact sales by sending an email to sales at hostgator dot com or opening a ticket. You would likely need a dedicated server to use asp since it is a Windows format.

Hello,
We do not currently have ASP support on a shared level. We have 2 ASP boxes that hold work with ASP classic, however these servers are full and we're not currently offering them. As of right now, your option would be with a Dedicated Windows server. We will be releasing our Windows Shared soon however! I'm not sure when it's going to be released however.
