Default Moving from another cPanel host

I'm using another hosting company that also offers the cPanel interface. I've got a phpBB forum on one domain, and a couple of other add-on domains for other sites in the same account. My old hosting company was bought up by a new one that isn't very clear about their future in shared hosting.

How easy (or hard) will it be to move my hosting? Can I simply do a home directory backup on the old host and restore it on the new one? Or should I move the sites over one-by-one, setting them up new on the new host?

I'm mainly concerned about the difficultly in moving the phpBB forum, can anyone speak to this? I inherited this site, and although the site has been working fine, I'm unfortunately not familiar enough with the workings of PHP to be totally comfortable with the mechanics.

cPanel to cPanel moves are fairly easy. You will not have any problems.
