Moved site from shared hosting, need help with FTP and databases

Hey all-
So, I recently relocated my shared hosting site onto a Tier 3 VPS with cPanel. Now the problem I'm having is that I can't figure out how to set up FTP users and my databases!

Can anyone lend a hand? I'm pretty bad with linux to begin with. In cPanel I can configure and select the FTP server and everything like that, I just can't figure out adding users for the life of me. Do i have to do it through the SSH connection? If so, what commands do i need to use?

With the databases I'm completely lost. They were transferred over during the move, but my site doesn't seem to be connecting to them. do i have to set up the user credentials again?

Hello,

All of these things should be controllable through cPanel directly. Shell access really isn't needed for basic cPanel tasks and many of our customers are able to administer their servers completely through cPanel and WHM.


I would recommend creating a ticket about the specific issues you're seeing so our administrators can look into these and make sure there isn't a bigger problem.
