From personal experience and from reading a few of the blogs of other users, it would be a lot better if hostgator where to communicate more with their customers. For example when php5 was switched over - a friendly email saying that it was in progress would have been very nice.
Or even in this situation: http://firsttube.com/read/PHPsuexec-...With-Hostgator - a friendly email in this situation notifying the users of the changes and the time period would also be good. For everything else hostgator is great. Support is quick and very helpful and the service/uptime is great. Keep up the good work and please implement this suggestion. |

I totally agree with you... I wonder why HG does not send emails, other than some empty ones every now n then (related to billing)

Good morning,
An email was sent out at the first of the year, letting all customers know that PHP4 has been out of production for a while and php5/mysql5 would be installed on all servers. If you did not get this email, I do apologize. We send to whatever email address we have on file, make sure you login to hostgator.com/billing and make sure your current email is set so that you get these notifications. Also with a big change like this we always make forum posts. Thank you |
