I was wondering whether or not AllowOverrides are normally set to "on" or "off" - I'm trying to GoogleTap my PHP-Nuke site but I'm running into some 404s. GoogleTap support suggests that it's either related to the ~ in the address (I'm a new customer whose domain hasn't finished the nameserver change) or to the AllowOverrides (Apache httpd.conf setting) set to "off." GoogleTap relies on .htaccess to do all the rewrites, so without it my site would pretty much be stuck in the "not-so-google-friendly" world of plain PHP-Nuke.
Is AllowOverrides on or off by default?
Thanks in advance
-Mike
