Question Mini-Semi-Dedicated ?

Hostgator is great, no doubt, but they should offer hosting between Shared and Semi-Dedicated, since there´s a huge price difference between Swamp and Semi-Dedicated.

I would mind paying 30 or 40 US dollars a month for a Mini-Semi-Dedicated with few customers on the server (20 or 30 max).

Any thoughts about this ?

Me too! I have been asking for this for 2+ years! I could really use this option. HG could also place long-time resellers on these boxes to protect us from potential problems from new accounts without a track history. It would also provide an excellent growth path towards moving to a dedicated server a few years down the road. We could grow with HG.

This is especially important for someone like me who is not a "reseller" in a traditional sense but who uses the reseller plan to host, manage, and run my own and family's businesses, e-commerce sites (www.NewhallStation.com) and information sites.

Let's hear from HG on this idea. I believe HG has grown enough and has enough resellers who are interested for this to be a viable option.

I think you can get away with semi for smaller sized business operations (at least for a while and you'll know when it's time to upgrade).

It's certainly a far cry better than trying to run a business on a crowded shared for peanuts every month. I really, really wonder about those types.
