Mcrypt and Curl

When trying to setup whmautopilot on my reseller account i receive an error that relates to mcrypt not being compiled into php. is this wrong or...

so, on the offhand chance that mcrypt wasnt supported i downloaded the test script for whois.cart, and it reports that CURL is not compiled into the PHP installation...

is this:
user error (most likely)
a problem with my account
or something else entirely
