May I have some clarification please?

Good Morning,

All I want to do is be able to upload pictures of a legal adult nature and direct link to those pictures in an adult php forum to which I belong. I'm tired of services like photobucket censoring my pictures. Is there a package that Host Gator offers that would allow me to do this? I really appreciate the help!

well, it doesn't sound like they want to set up a public image hosting, only for private use? which may be different, i dunno.

i'd ask HG sales [@] hostgator.com for a definitive answer.

I never did understand why image hosting isn't allowed? If you're paying for the bandwidth and server space, what difference does it make so long as the content is legal?

Lots of bw used, lots of hotlinking = CPU load

Image hosting is only allowed on dedicated servers.

Hotlinking cannot be done with my image hosting software as a direct link to an image file,ie:jpg,bmp, gives them an error page.
They can only view the images with my adverts thrown in.

If you're just using it for your own image use, and not a photobucket-type public image service, you should be fine. Email sales to confirm of course.
