You can change it by putting the following in a php.ini file into your public_html folder:

upload_max_filesize = 10M

Raise 2M to the size you want. MAX size is 10M

Why? why not just upload the files via FTP?

Anyway, good luck with a new host, you wont find a better one than HG

Sam's right... I doubt you'll find a better host. If it's a onetime thing, you can email support@hostgator.com... they told me before they'd look at the situation and make a decision if it's for a setup or something like that.

I just came from another Hosting provider,,, TODAY,, and believe you me,, Some of these others STINK.. Like Go Daddy is a fortune to work with. I am assuming from the comments here, I made the right choice to come to HG,,, good luck with the other companies, it may be a lot cheaper in the long run to set up a FTP instead of switching..

Where is he limited to 10 mb upload?

Not using ftp to upload your files is like trying to push your car instead of driving it.

Go to http://sourceforge.net/projects/filezilla
and dowonload filezilla.
