Default make git available
It would be really really nice if "git" was availbale on the shared hosting machines

Ditto - currently moving all our projects to GIT and would love to have it available on HostGator.

It's a version control system a lot of people are switching to from SVN or CVS. A quick google would bring you this page:

The forums are primarily peer support forums. It is best to send questions on these types of issues to sales or support to get a definitive answer.
