Default Main domain like an addon-domain

I am a customer now, awaiting full access to the forums.

I will have several addon-domains on my account, and I want to set up the main domain to be in it's own folder like the addon-domains.

What would be the best way to do this?

Sign up using a different domain, and add your domains as addon domains

There is no way to change your primary domains dcoument root

There's a better way to do it than that. A few people did this on my previous host. It keeps things a lot neeter, and beter .htaccess controle.

I think it might have to be done by the web host. I don't remember for sure.

I'm not sure if it will affect your add on domains, but it is possible to have your document root changed to a subfolder. Ask support if they could do something like that for you

I know you can do it by editing httpd.conf, but that would make his subdomains and addon domains go to /public_html/primary/addon wouldnt it?

It should give you a choice where to put them in cp11 X3 but not sure if you change the doc root if other folders in the public_html could be used for addons. I haven't tried so can't say for sure.

Thanks for the responces.

I've also sent an e-mail to support, asking how this can be done.

Everything seems to be working fine. At the other host, I had it the normal way, but I decided that I'd like it this way this time.

So far I like it better this way.
It's better organized.
