Mail section of the default php.ini

Since my admin abandoned me, I have to figure out everything myself. Thank goodness I have the WHM/cPanel.

My Drupal sites are unable to send neither notification emails to the website administrator, nor welcome emails to newly registered users. This is very bad and needs to be fixed ASAP.

Apparently, I didn't do a good job restoring the php.ini file after experimenting with mail settings in it. Can somebody paste here a Mail part of the generic/default php.ini file of a standard installation of VPS level 4?

I would also appreciate a link or two for helpful information regarding use of Google Apps Mail (standard and business, I am using both) with my VPS-hosted Drupal websites.
