Is it normal to have a bunch of mails stucked up in the Mail Queue Manager coming from root@web.domain.com ? They seems to be update of some sort. with the subject of 1RWQZ7-******-** (serial number most likey) etc..
Will they be erased automatically eventually? On one of my other VPS, they're there for 5 days and they're not being erased automatically. |

If you click the ID you'll see the email itself. Exim default configuration gives up retrying after 4 days, but that can be changed. Check your Exim configuration.

Thanks quietFinn. That's a good thing to know. The hostgator support team didn't tell me that. Let's see if they will be erased automatically in a few days.

These emails sometime contain important information - and by default, too, the root user is listed in never_users in Exim's configuration.
You can have emails for root forwarded to another email account - login to WHM as root and go to Change System Mail Preferences. This should make it unnecessary to wait for emails to prune after 4 days.
