Lightbulb Mail() header

I am new customer of hostgator, i am having a simple forum that runs on php, which i just placed in your hosting. But having few problems, as when a member gets an activation key throught mail. In the header its showing the hostgator name like "@gator500" some thing, i want to change it to "admin@myforumname.com" how can i change it, as its making confusion to my forum members. Pls help me out.

I'm sure other forum members will try and help you, but you need to supply more information. For example what forum software are you talking about.
