looking for this VPS setup

Hi,

I am looking for this kind of VPS setup:
- Linux
- Webmin
- Apache
- MySQL
- PHP, Perl
- SMTP (Postfix ?)
- DNS (Bind ?)

Memory requirements are very basic: 384 MB RAM and 10 GB disk would be okay.

We do not want Plesk or cPanel.

We will not install public websites on the server. It will be used for private websites (internal use) and for back office tasks.

Is it possible to order a VPS from HostGator with these programs already installed ?

The servers do not come with webmin but since you will have root access you can install what you need to as long as you have any needed licenses.

Thanks for the reply.

I understand that Webmin is not included and that I will have to install it by myself.

What about the other programs I mentioned above (Apache, MySQL, PHP, Perl, Postfix (or another SMTP server), Bind (or another DNS server) ? Are they included in a Level 1 VPS ? When I read http://www.hostgator.com/vps-hosting/ , it seems that only Apache is pre-installed. Not sure though.

The level I VPS requires that you configure all services as they are not installed by default. There is a package installer in the Virtuozzo panel that uses yum to install packages though, so you can use one of the many online guides for CentOS Lamp installations via yum to quickly install the services.
