OK.. I am just about ready to give up -- it's been three weeks going through setup and still have not gotten to testing.
Anyone using WHMCS and eNom (with paypal as only gateway) willing to help on a paid status? If so, pm me with your experience and how you would charge. Patsy |

WHMCS should pickup the paid payment from Paypal. Are you having an issue with the whmcs setting up the customer accounts automatically?

Wyredwing,
Kinda... sort of.... maybe... I'm really not sure. From reading posts in MANY different threads it appears that setting up WHMCS not to automatically process is best (for fraud). I have set up WHMCS but just not sure I've flagged everything correctly (so many things to look at in the set up). Looking at the tutorials helps some but, my WHMCS version is the latest and the videos are not so it confuses me at times. From past experience, with other online packages, thinking all is fine one day then when customers start using finding out things really aren't fine -- is terrible. I just don't want to start out with this like that. So I just need someone to understand what I want then look at my settings to make sure I have flagged all correctly. Someone already set up and running their operations problem free. Help me understand how to use eNom (I suppose leaving myself as a retailer is better than reseller -- retailer I pay $8.95 for most units) manually giving all domain ownership to customer. Don't want any automatic refunds through PayPal so I'm not sure API is necessary -- kinda want to run it like I do my eBay account. Customer fills out the shopping cart, is taken to PayPal then pays. Did this answer you? I have a shopping cart built (WHMCS) but haven't gone to the testing of PayPal as I don't know how to test and it not actually want money to process. Patsy |

Here is how I handle Enom via WHMCS. I never have the enom API do auto domain registrations when a new client registers to my company. This is to prevent fraud of course.
Although, I do allow whmcs setup the "Hosting" accounts via whm when a new customer registers to the company. I manually register the domains via my HG enom sub account. |

Again thanks.... to both of you,
I like how you both are utilizing WHMCS and ENOM together. Can you tell me what boxes to check to check (or uncheck) in order for this to happen. Should I leave myself as a retailer with Enom? Thanks, Patsy |

You are using a Host Gator reseller account via enom correct?

Yes.... Been trying to setup up my new HG reseller account for 23 days now and still in the process. Got my eNom account with the HG link so I'm in the retailer phase and think I will keep it that way as, from what I read, a reseller can't make any updates to the name contact or technical information.
Just trying to get my website set up correctly then make a user's cheat sheet, for myself, on each step needed to smoothly set up clients as they sign up. Patsy |
