Positive Long time customer

I've been a customer of HG for some time now and have worked up through the packages, upgrading when required.

My problems started after a while of running the basic dedicated server when I would notice my sites not loading (even though the email was being served) leaving the browser to time out. Thinking that it may be an issue with server load I upgraded to the standard server but almost immediately this is happening again.

Obviously, not being able to gain access to my whm, I am having to request a reboot virtually daily; and despite sending tickets to sales and support it doesn't seem like anyone is prepared to investigate the matter.

I'm now feeling that it may be time to move on as I can't afford to have my sites down whilst running PPC campaigns. (unfortunately it would require 200 domain dns changes)

Hello,

I think I found the issue with the server configuration. As you said web sited would not load, but e-mail would work fine. Probably during a cPanel update your httpd.conf got set to some very low limits for MaxClients, SpareServers and StartServers, with high timeouts and keepalive requests. I have updated this to be more in line with a dedicated web server. You should be able to handle 3x the amount of traffic before apache queues up connection attemepts. I will add this information into your last ticket for record keeping purposes.

I have also checked the logs for any hardware failures or other error messages that would indicate hardware or software corruption and did not find anything.

Wow - great response.

I can't find a ticket number as everything has been moved to the new ticket system and I don't appear to have access to old ticket details.

I'm presuming from the second post that you've been able to identify my server though and make these alterations.

I'll keep you updated on how it goes

Thanks guys
