Default Load balancing

I want to move my company over to Hostgator. I currently have websites spread around multiple providers, but wish to move all of it to HostGator's business plan. My average traffic for all website is about 500,000-900,000 depending on day.

Now I'm wondering if it's possible to have each website on a business plan, but administered on one account. In total I have 74 websites, and I will order 74 business plans. I want to administer all of them with one account. Is it possible?

The forum is primarily a peer support forum. For definitive answers you should contact sales at hostgator dot com and they should be able to provide more information.

As for administering all of the accounts through one interface, that is not possible using multiple business plans. In my opinion one or more dedicated servers would be a better choice since you would have root access to WHM to do much of the administration and root access to SSH as well.

Ordering 74 business plans and paying for them on a monthly basis would cost you $1,106.30 per month (74 * 14.95). I highly doubt that HG would have a way for you to administer 74 accounts under one master account as far as website administration goes (you would be able to use one billing account that all 74 hosting packages would be under, which would help in billing/support ticket/new order placement).

If you want a setup that would minimize the amount of configuration/maintenance needed for 74 different websites, your best bet would be to send an email to sales [at] hostgator [dot] com and work with them to create a custom dedicated server if one of the ones shown here ,http://www.hostgator.com/dedicated.shtml, don't fit your needs. Or they might suggest two or three servers for you, but even three of the Pro Dedicated Servers at $374/month each would only be $1,122/month. Or, with a custom dedicated server that has a RAID card and maybe dual Intel 5520 processors, 12GB RAM, and two 750GB HDDs probably would'nt cost you as much as 74 Business Plans scattered accross Hostgator's shared servers. Plus, then you wouldnt be competing for system resources with other customers.

Thanks im chatting with an employee. I decided to go with their Pro Dedicated server for now. However I will try the business plan on a few of my website to see if it can handle the load.
