I think it would be nice if the Live Chat Support system was customized with a HG gator, and some nice modern chrome like buttons.

I would say no.
As long at we can get a response from live support, I don't think branding it will make chat staff brighter or not. ![]() Best Regards, |

He's not really a designer... he's a programmer... same deal.. I'd rather rather he keep the servers up than brand the live chat... for the, what, 30 second chats I have on occasion.. who cares...

For some reason, this made me think about the cynical idea that unemployed actors are switching from waiting jobs to working at support....and the potential (mostly for confusion) if the chat tech were able to brand his/her own sessions.

I choose sumwhat because I think yeah, it does, however the main aim of the live chat is to offer support, and if you want support, you don't care about the design as long as you get the assistance that is necessary.

I just put a vote in for yes,
It'd take me 5-10 minutes to replace the cheesy 'Hello can I help you' for an image of HG's mascot. If you were talking about branding the billing system that would be a different matter, but it's not a big job and if it helps keep the HG brand in pre-customer heads then it's worth it. I thing a gator with a head set would look pretty kewl. Regards, Steve Xx

Isn't this time period the busiest for the forum?
Anyway, Evan, the forum participants may not be representative of HG customers as a whole, who may be more likely to use Live Support. PS--Unregistered people can read this section. I wonder if they can vote in polls in this section. |

Thanks guys, The old chat window was a little boring. The new window is much more "hip". We will look into the branding but its not a major issue for us right at the moment. It would be quick to replace. Maybe in the upcoming days, I will take a look at it.
