List of resource list threads

(This compilation is dedicated to SwollenCranium, in response to his/her glowing thank-you for the Tools for Noobs thread, and to corgipower, who even earlier suggested a list of links to the lists of links.)

These are all HG forum threads which contain links to information, tools, and "how-to" stuff. For lack of a better term, most are called 'resource lists'.

This one has a massive set of assorted glossaries:

Internet terminology resources

Some free applications for building sites (not just for beginners):

Tools for noobs

Learning about ftp uploads, and links to several ftp applications:

FTP help resources and downloads

All kinds of useful stuff for making color schemes, determining color code, and all things color-connected:

Color links

The visual side of your site:

Photos and other images for your site:

'Server' stock images?

Creating and using a favicon, including a web-based converter tool:

Favicon resources (i.e., little graphic on address bar)

Lots of CSS stuff, including some great explanations, online tools, and references:

Things to add to your site ("widgets")

Security:

Great basic security info

For lack of a better term, 'programming':

Thanks for the feedback.

(I don't like to make assumptions about gender. In my youth, the combination of working in overwhelmingly male fields and a first name that was then so weird few knew it was female produced a lot of them.)

Maybe you could use your PM magic to get it stickied...and the title changed to "Resource lists".

Thanks to everyone who urged stickeydom.

With most of the links ("resources") coming from several ever-expanding lists I keep, I'm always up for new topics, so if anybody has suggestions for other resource lists...
