Keep your service/product/clients product to the fore

I have no idea if this will be regarded as a good idea, or a complete waste of time, but I am going to offer it anyway and see!

We all know that screensavers are useful for advertising, but how many smaller businesses have a screensaver developed for them to email out to their customers/newsletter subscribers etc etc - keeps their name at the forefront of the prospective/actual customers mind.

I am offering to create a professional screensaver specific to your company needs - using flash, supplied images, supplied copy etc (or I will get the information from your web site etc) - you can supply anything you want included, video, swf, fla, swish, images, text copy, anything.
I am offering the first to ask for one for FREE, gratis, nadda, nothing - just reply to this thread and PM me details etc.

After the free one is taken I'll offer the service to Hostgator members for $40, I am planning to promote this service elsewhere for more so you'll be getting a good saving.

Furthermore, as I'll keep the source files I'll update your custom screensaver as and when needed for a nominal fee - if its a small change probably free!

$40 (or free if you are quick!) for an advertising device that you can send to anyone and everyone, link to it from your website, add to advertising CD-ROMs etc, and every time your customer/prospective customer's display goes into screensave mode they will see your details!
If anyone is interested in possible resale to their clients let me know.
Now, as I said at the start, I may be barking up the proverbial tree with this idea, so dont shoot me down in flames in public if thats the case, drop me a PM instead - if you think its a good idea do likewise :-)

Just to let everyone know, the screensaver I've just done for Vtrain incorporates an RSS feed built into a Flash presentation - very effective :-)

I'm really happy with Allan's work. I only gave a few graphic images and the idea of the RSS and he did something quite simple but very nice and eye-catching.

Actually, after the freebie, I'm preparing some other idea for another screen saver. I think its worth the price.

To Allan:
The title of this thread is misleading. Maybe change to something more informative of what you are offering here?
