I'm from south America and we do speak spanish, so I'm sorry if my english is not so good.
I can't help myself thinking on USA hosting companys, specially Hostgator due to some great reviews I've been reading, the affordable price, and also the online chat support. Now I have a full developed website ready to go online so I need to sign up either Hostgator or any other host. My only question and my concern, is that my website is in spanish, and it's targeted to south america and spain. Then wouldn't be a problem with the search engines if I chose an IP from USA ? How important is the server location ? Thanks. I know it's an unusual question, but any comment will be apreciated. |

I have had no problem at all with having my own websites held on servers in other countries and being found in search engines... search engines look for other forms of information to index your website in their database. I had my websites hosted on a server in Germany for instance. No problems. I do highly recommend HostGator for any hosting needs you may have. In my opinion... I would seriously look into their services. Hope the best for you. Good luck,

As far as search engines go, you should have no problem at all having a spanish site with a US IP address. Hope you choose us.
