Just need a bit of assurance

I am interested (and have been for sometime) in setting up a reseller account. After looking about for several days i found Host Gator. Looks pretty good, then i found a link to the forum posts about that fiasco in early jan '05 with major server problems.
I appreciate that sometimes computers die rather unexpectedly, but i really do need as smooth an expeience as i can get - reselling is someting i will be doing in my spare time for a bit of extra cash and i cant afford, and nor have the time to try and pick up a mess like that i would be in if something like that were to happen again.
Basically all i wnat is some independent assurance that host gator is a good, reliable company, and that since the problems they have changed and come up with some kind of plan to stop something like that happening again, and that it would be a good company to become a reseller with.

I don't know what happened in January 2005, I came here in February. And since then everything has been running just fine

But you don't get any "independent assurance" from me, because I'm using HG's services I'm not independent. But if I wasn't happy with the services I get I wasn't here any more

And one thing is good to remember: if a hosting company is big (and HG IS big), there WILL be problems for someone sometimes.

That's a good point. I think I probably will go with HG, il sign up after i do a bit of maintennance on my computer. In the mean while if anyone else has anythn else to add i'd appreciate - maybe from another resller?
