Joomla 1.5 and .htaccess not working

Hi,

I'm trying to get Joomla 1.5 and built in SEF working with the .htaccess.

When enabled, I'm getting 404 errors on everything except the front page

Anyone figured this out ??

Did you actually rename the file htaccess.txt to .htaccess?

You get those 404 errors if you enable SEO in Joomla's configuration, but do not rename the file.

yep... and I found the issue....

I had not changed dns over yet... and I didn't think that would matter... since i put the hostgator URL in the Joomla config...

but apparently it does!
