jetta IP blocked for SPAM

Ok, jetta has been black listed at Spamhaus and now NO emails are getting in or out from that IP.

I feel like the only one experiencing this problem because every time I email/speak to support they tell me they know about it, they're working on it, etc. BUT nothing has changed for at least the last 3-4 days.

That is why I am venting on here because nothing seems to get done.

So, anyone else experiencing these problems or is it just ME?


P.S. Let's see if this post dissapears as well, just like all my emails

You are not alone. I contacted support on Jan 1. Here is the last e-mailed update I received:

5 days so far to remove the offending accounts (as listed on Spamhaus) and to get an IP removed from a blacklist. Not bad going, huh? And still no end in sight.

My last conversation with support suggested that it will "hopefuly" be resolved within the next 24 hours.

I'm still within my 30day money back period and am seriously considering grabbing my sites and running like hell.

Funny, I just signed up for a reseller account last week. So, I've had a bumpy start with HostGator. I am using HG for personal projects for family members right now. Commercial sites for my customers are hosted elsewhere, were I've NEVER had any sites down, and had only 1 MINOR issue in the year and a half I have been with them.

I would like to use HG commercially, but that will require faith in their services, which will have to come in time. What's really scarry is what's going on with the supra outage. Have you come across that thread? VERY scary.

So, since I just got here, I'm not ready to "run like hell". But, I always have my suitcase ready, so to speak.

Same here, my other host has NEVER had these sorts of problems.

I think it's mostly a case of too much expansion and not enough experience or infrastructure.

I'll give it some more time.... perhaps.... :shrugs:

One of the world's biggest spammers purchased a reseller account on our server. They did not spam. However, just the fact they are one of the world's biggest all the spam list watch them and automatically block anyone they join. They have been terminated and the spam blocks should disappear soon as we are contacting everyone that is blocking.

Well, I was just able to send an e-mail to my Road Runner account and it wasn't bounced back!

Without doing the leg work myself - does anyone know if jetta's IP has been completely removed from all spam databases?

I'm not quite sure that we're cleared off *all* lists, but to check you can try http://rbls.org/ and put in the shared IP for the server, 67.19.167.194 - the results show that on those RBL lists at least we've been cleared

This is the IP that your email goes out from regardless of whether or not you have a private IP on the server.

Any comments on how complete that list is?

This explains a lot. I just changed over to a reseller account and set up a couple client's accounts and they've been having a lot of trouble with e-mail. So far support was quick to fix it but one of my client's, who I just signed, has already lost faith in my service and may drop me.

My main problem was when I upgraded to a reseller account last month. I'm hoping things will stabilize as I've got more clients I want to move.
