Jabber
Can a Jabber or other XMPP server be hosted on HostGater accounts? I've seen several hosts that offer this as part of a shared hosting plan, but couldn't find this on the hostgator site.

HostGator does not offer Jabber or any type of program that must actually run on their shared servers. No SSH for that matter either, it's all for security reasons mainly. The dedicated servers are ofcourse able to do this though.
