Hello HostGator members,

iWebBuddy.com is my website & forum which I've created. The forum is powered by vBulletin forum software. We are a website design and web development forum.

We Are Currently Seeking Staff :

All staff members should know about web designing & web development and should be active. English is also a needed language.

1. Administrators ( looking for 1 or maybe 2 )

You must have experience with vBulletin forum software. You must have a lot of knowledge in HTML, CSS, XHTML, PHP & JavaScript, etc. You must help advertise the forum to get more members. You are required to have knowledge in search engine optimization.

2. Moderators / Super Moderators ( looking for 1-3 )

You must have a lot of knowledge in HTML, CSS, XHTML, PHP & JavaScript. You must help advertise the forum to get more members.

3. Graphic Designers ( looking for 1-4 )

You must be good at graphic designing and you must be a web designer. You must help advertise the forum to get more members.

4. Web Reviewers ( looking for 1-4 )

You must have good judgment when it comes to website designs, on-page optimizing, etc... You must know the basics of HTML & CSS.

If you're interested, please join the forums and private message me. You can also private message me on this forum as well.

Note : We don't pay staff members, sorry. This is voluntary work for people that are interested in the niche of the forum & wants to be apart of the webmaster community.

What Can You Do In The Forums :

There are many things that members can do in the community.

Examples :

1.You can request free website reviews.
2. You can advertise for free in the advertising forum.
3. You can submit your link to our free link directory
4. You can request free graphic design services.
5. You can ask for help related to topics about web design & web development.
6. You can ask for help related to topics about SEO.
7. You can use links in your signature. ( followed by search engines )
8. Discuss about interesting web design/development topics.
9. Buy/Sell/Trade services, domains, websites, etc in the Marketing Forum
And much more...

We are a new forum. ( started 3 days ago )

The top level domain name has been indexed for popular search terms in Google, Yahoo & Bing.

The webmaster forums are starting to be filled with useful guides and tutorials. Examples are how to set up a 301 redirect, redirect www to non-www or non-www to www, seo beginner tutorial and much more useful information for webmasters.

You can also post your own tutorials and be a great contributor to the community. Join the webmaster community, ask questions, reply to interesting discussions and build backlinks in your signature. ( do follow )

I apologize for the late response Chimpie,

What I was referring to is when you hover the cursor over a key word, a small text box appears with additional information. I called it a tool tip only because when I took a JavaScript class in the past the instructor called this sort of event a tool tip. Maybe this isn't as universal of a naming convention as I thought it was ;-)

Tooltips is the prevailing term that I see used for it.

Guess it's an individual preference, but if used with restraint, I kinda like tooltips. Then again, I'm a big jQuery Tools fan as anyone might expect from my ceaseless searching for "toys" to play with

I'm not totally against "tool tips" I've used them myself ;-) some websites though over do it. Jquery does make it easier to code tool tips.

I started life many years ago on the hardware side and going got into programming several years ago but I agree finding new libraries and code snippets is fun
