Thumbs up ipowerweb and advantagecom refugee

im new here, just moved yesterday and will provide some info after i have been online with hostgator for at least a few months.

the transfer was smooth and download rates have been excellent thus far.

i've been pulling the short straw lately in terms of picking a host for a site that i co-own and the experiences have led me to beleive i might make millions if i try to do it myself...my bsd home system on a dsl line has better uptime than most of the places ive been so im skeptical but willing to accept that im not the only one who believes in excellence.

happy chomping.

edit: changed a word, was threatened by co-owner

Default

been roughly two months.

my only gripe is i notice (as do my users) brief "pauses" in loading pages...basically my browser will act like it's waiting for the server to send it data. usually lasts about 3-5 seconds and then the page begins to load with expected throughput, an annoyance.

that issue is really tough to nail down as the server load appears normal at these times.

my host is gator2.hostgator.com.
