Default Ioncube loader problems

Hello,

My shared server is gator159. I am trying to install Arcade v6.1.5 on my Invision forum which requires an ioncube-loader. Before install I am instructed to run file "ioncube-loader-helper.php" which tells me: (underlined was originally links)

The loading of ionCube encoded files is not currently working correctly on this server.

If you have permission to edit the php.ini configuration file for this server, please follow the php.ini installation instructions.

If you do not access to the php.ini file, please follow the run-time loading installation instructions.

If I follow the php.ini installation instructions I get this:
Code:
Analysis of your system configuration shows:

PHP Version 4.4.7
Operating System Linux
Threaded PHP No
php.ini file /usr/local/Zend/etc/php.ini
Required Loader ioncube_loader_lin_4.4.so

Instructions
To install the Loader in your php.ini file, edit or create the file /usr/local/Zend/etc/php.ini and add the following line before any other zend_extension lines:

zend_extension = /<path>/ioncube_loader_lin_4.4.so

where /<path>/ is where you've installed the loader, e.g. /usr/local/ioncube/

If there are no zend_extension lines already, you can put the line at any point in the file.
My problem is that I don't see the path to edit the php.ini file (/usr/local/Zend/etc/php.ini). I can't find a Zend directory, and the only etc directory is above the public_html

Because that failed I tried the alternate "run-time loading installation instructions" instead. Those istructions tell me:

An ionCube Loader is already installed and run-time loading is unnecessary. Encoded files should load without problems.

With that information, albeit conflicting, I went ahead and ran the Arcade installer. Apparently the ioncube loader isn't working because I get a blank page. No nothing. Even the browsers view page code is blank.

Regards, --Sandi

Quite odd. The two live chat links that I find both give me a 404 not found error. Next stop submit a ticket.

Doh! It works fine. I had forgotten that I have been using a modified HOST file for ad, banner and 3rd party cookie blocking. Apparently it thinks that the chat window is a popup ad. Best ad block there is, but now and then I have to disable it, or edit out a url that isn't really malicious.

At any rate the ticket submission is moving back and forth fairly quick, so I will stick with that for now.
