Why doesn't host gator send out invoice e-mails to notify customers of payment dates?

You can view your invoices at https://secure.hostgator.com/billing/

We send out an email only if the payment did not go through automatically the first time. Or if the payment is late more than the 10 day grace period.

Invoices should always be sent. We shouldn't have to log into the billing system each month heh. Some of us are lazy ya know !

We did upgrade our billing software, not sure if that's the culprit for certain but if you did recieve a blank email just disregard that

I've found that if you just don't bother to pay, they will send you a nice email telling your payment was due yesterday. Not the most effective way of paying bills, but at least I get notified.

I do really wish that HG would send out reminder invoices a few days before bills came due.

I just noticed I didn't pay my bill for this month and it was overdue (again). I was paying via Paypal every month, which was nice because I never had to login to pay, but the Paypal/HostGator/Me got into a bit of confusion and ended up draining my bank account and cost me a ton of fees, so I'm a little gun shy of the autobill thing now. (not HostGator's fault)

Edit:I got a blank email back from the billing system.

We are working on the blank email thing.

Actually the way we do it your payment is due and then you have 10 days to pay, so those are all pre notification emails.

I got the blank email too... I've never had a problem with billing and I've never taken any action to pay a single invoice. Setup your accounts to go to either a company or personal credit card every month and it's set it and forget it...

Ok, I must have missed that because I only see pay by card or by PayPal. How do I set that up? (Without using Paypal, I'm still mad about that double billing thing)

How to have it charge to a card every month? You just put in a credit card and it will auto-process each month. If that is what you were asking.

I pay with the same card each month, you mean if I just don't pay when I get the notice it will automatically charge me at some point?

I don't get any notices. My company credit card just gets charged $24.95 every month automatically. Since you are getting notices and I am not, it must have something to do with how you specified billing when you signed up. I am guessing you can go into Modernbill and change it there to auto bill.
