Default Invision Power Board?

I am considering moving from my current host (which is shared hosting) to a reseller account here, which I would use for hosting my own site which includes a community using Invision Power Board.

I was wondering if someone here who has an Invision Power Board hosted on their reseller package would mind giving me the URL to check it out so that I can check speed, etc...

Also, has anyone hosting a forum here found the 25 concurrent MySQL connections to be a problem? I currently get an average of about 20 active forum users at any one time but expect that to increase in time.

You won't have any trouble with 20 concurrent users.

Thank you for that.

At what point would you expect the 25 concurrent connections to become a problem?

I can see my forums doubling or even tripling in active users within a year or so.

There was a thread on the board here, I'm not sure if it was a public part of the board, but it was suggested, IIRC, that a board could have maybe over a hundred users online at the same time...

The user accesses a page, the connection opens, serves, then closes again...so as long as they all don't make a request at the same time you're okay. Should they happen to exceed the limitation they get a simple timeout error and can probably get through on retry...by that time you've pobably moved to semi-dedicated or decicated anyway, and can probably determine your own limit....

AT least that was my understanding after reading it...
