Evening all,
Been trying to install Smarty, and it doesn't really seem like this is possible using PEAR. So, I got SSH access, and SSH'd then proceeded to follow the guide on Smarty's website on how to install it. Hostgator didn't seem to like me trying to mkdir in usr/local/lib/php and even told me it was going to be reported, yikes...guess I missed that in the agreement, oh well. My question is how do I install this then? I have a feeling it's very obvious and will probably kick myself once I know how to do it. Thanks in advance! |

Thanks for the prompt reply!
Will look into it, from reading the install guide, it seemed like it needed to have access to php lib, but guess not! |

nope, just put it in, say /home/username/smarty/ and in your php require /home/username/smarty/whatever_the_include_file_is
