Ok, I have a dedicated server, running Plesk. I've added a new domain and would like to install Joomla on this domain...but for some reason it only lets me install it under newdomain.com/joomla. I can't seem to get it installed under just the root of the domain.
Any ideas?

Using the Plesk web applications installer only lets you isntall to a sub folder. In order to install an application to the main site you would need to manually install this.
Joomla isn't too hard to install. Just download the files from here to your server: http://www.joomla.org/ Once you do that make the database in Plesk then run the install script.

Thanks GatorMichael. I have no problem doing a manual install.
