Default Install PHP/MySql

I am new to VPS. I am trying to get PHP/Mysql installed. I install the PHP and PHP/Mysql packages using the package manager and it shows them as being installed, but I don't see where to go next. If I look at the http.conf file, it doesn't appear to have been modified. There is no reference to the php mod.

Any suggestions from someone who has done it?

Thanks,
Russ

Here it is :

Code:
yum install php
yum install php-mysql mysql mysql-server
/sbin/chkconfig --levels 235 mysqld on
/etc/init.d/mysqld start
And check here for phpmyadmin (but take version 2, 3 is not working with php version < 5.2)
